Island Goblins

These are vicious, nasty, little creatures and are confined to one area in the Sanctuary. Their normal stature ranges from the size of a small kitten to slightly larger than a fat Chihuahua. Due to their diminutive stature, they are often observed to be armed. Typical weapons are blowgun and dart, spears or bow and arrow. Limiting themselves to small islands and peninsulas they tend to gather in clusters of straw huts surrounding a central altar. They are not intrinsically magical creatures but they are masters with the use of poisons, incantations and magical items for subduing any creature that unwittingly stumbles upon them. Island goblins deeply mistrust fairies and do not abide them to enter their territory, but they are far too slow to catch a fairy in its natural habitat.

They are fond of eating insects, rodents and small fish but will not hesitate to scavenge rotting carcasses. The only known predator of the Island Goblin are Grindylows and Cockatrice as they are the only known creatures immune to the goblins’ poisons.
